Germany was in a great depression like the United States and since Hitler was the chancellor of germany at the time he needed someone to blame. He blamed the jews because of there wealthiness. Nazi leaders wanted to do a good thing for Germany and persecute German Jews because of the assumption of power that the Jews had. They made laws so Jews can basically do nothing and all the laws were national so no region was untouched. the anti-Semitic tradition was very big in Europe and that's how Nazis got power. Everyone perceived the Jews to be a problem to society. Also, German Jews fought for the fatherland in World War One and they were proud to do that, but soon the Jews would than be shut out from Germany's society. With the Nuremberg Laws of 1935 which deprived the Jews of their German citizenship and forbid intermarriage with non-Jews. In addition, with Hitler’s madness he thought that people of only people the German or Aryan blood should live in Germany and no non-Germans should have any say in Germany. He did not believe that Jews could be Germans. Everyone that was of the German or Aryan blood believed him and stuck by his side because they thought he was the only hope of Germany to get out of the depression.
